Pay: 12.71 per hour + performance bonuses

Job description
Total Care Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Skilled Slaughter Operatives / Knife Operatives to join a busy beef slaughterhouse facility in Lurgan.
This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with previous experience working in a slaughterhouse or kill-house environment who are looking for ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.
Please note: This is a skilled role. Previous slaughterhouse knife experience is essential.
Key responsibilities
Carrying out skilled knife operations within a beef slaughterhouse environment.
Undertaking skinning and trimming duties to the required standards.
Working safely and efficiently within a busy production / kill-house environment.
Following all site health, safety, hygiene and operational procedures.
Maintaining high standards of quality and food hygiene.
Working as part of a team to meet daily production requirements.
Essential requirements
Previous slaughterhouse / kill-house experience is essential.
Demonstrable experience using knives in a professional meat-processing environment.
Experience in beef processing, particularly skinning or trimming, is highly desirable.
Good understanding of workplace health, safety and hygiene procedures.
Reliable, punctual and able to work full-time Monday to Friday.
Physically capable of working in a busy slaughterhouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
What we offer
£12.71 per hour + performance bonuses.
Monday–Friday working hours, 8:00am–4:00pm.
Weekly pay.
Full-time, ongoing temporary employment.
Opportunity to transfer to permanent employment after 12 weeks, subject to performance and the client’s requirements.
Immediate start available.
