Residential Support Worker

Locations: Dungiven

 

Job type: Part Time, Temporary (Bank / Flexible)

 

Pay: £14.19 – £18.45 per hour (Band 3–5)

 

Hours: Bank / flexible, up to 36 hours per week

Shifts: 8am–8pm long day, 10am–10pm long day and 8pm–8am waking night (flexibility across all three is required)

 

We are currently recruiting Residential Support Workers to provide high-quality care and support within a residential service in the Dungiven area.

 

This role is ideal for experienced individuals who are confident working in residential settings and who can provide safe, compassionate and person-centred support.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Provide direct day-to-day support within a residential care setting

• Build positive, professional and consistent relationships

• Promote safety, wellbeing, dignity and positive outcomes

• Support the delivery of care plans and risk assessments

• Maintain accurate records and follow reporting procedures

• Work alongside permanent staff and other professionals

• Help maintain a safe, structured and supportive environment

• Follow safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety procedures

 

Essential Requirements

 

• Current NISCC registration

• Willing to register with the agency

• Suitable for Band 4–5 level

• Eligible to work in the UK

• Able to pass AccessNI and agency compliance checks

• Flexible across long-day and waking-night shifts

• Committed to safeguarding

 

Experience

 

Experience in children’s residential care or family and childcare is an advantage. Experience in residential care, social care, supported living or other relevant care settings will also be considered.

 

Shadow Shifts

 

Two mandatory 8-hour shadow shifts are completed before being placed on the floor.
