Procurement Officer (Sourcing) – Band 4 (Temporary)
Location: PaLS, Boucher Crescent
Hours: 37.5 per week
The Business Services Organisation (BSO) Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS) is seeking a Procurement Officer (Sourcing) to support the delivery of a value‑for‑money procurement service across Health and Social Care Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Sourcing and purchasing goods and services in line with value‑for‑money principles
- Managing tendering and quotation processes
- Providing purchasing advice to internal customers
- Resolving invoice queries and liaising with suppliers
- Monitoring supplier performance
- Using Windows‑based systems (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Supporting and supervising Band 3 staff when required
Essential Criteria
- GCSE Maths & English (A–C) or equivalent
- PLUS either:
- Two A‑Levels and 18 months’ relevant business/commercial/financial experience
- OR a Primary Degree and 6 months’ relevant experience
- OR 3 years’ relevant experience (including 2 years in a business/commercial/financial environment)
- Experience using Windows‑based software (Outlook, Word, Excel)

- English (preferred)
