We currently have a Facility Support Worker role available within Day Care Services. This position involves a mix of catering duties, domestic cleaning, and general support to help keep the centre running safely and smoothly.
Role Overview
You will support staff and service users by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, assisting with meal service, and ensuring the environment is safe and well-organised.
Main Responsibilities
Catering Duties
- Receive, store, heat, and serve meals
- Prepare special diets when required
- Record food and fridge temperatures
- Make tea/coffee for service users
- Clean kitchen equipment, dishes, and food areas
- Assist with meal preparation, ordering meals, and basic serving/cashier tasks
Domestic Duties
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors
- Clean furniture, equipment, glass, tiles, phones, and shelving
- Clean toilets and shower areas; restock soap, towels, and toilet rolls
- Empty bins and manage waste safely
General Duties
- Maintain high hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Follow cleaning schedules and safety procedures (COSHH, colour coding, food hygiene)
- Report faults, accidents, or incidents
- Store and replenish supplies
- Lock/unlock work areas when required
- Work well with staff and support service users
- Maintain confidentiality
Requirements
- English language skills (preferred)
- Authorised to work in the UK (preferred)
- Ability to work on-site in Crossmaglen
