Service Delivery Administrator – Temporary Position (Immediate Start)
Location: Eastern Area Command Headquarters, Central Station,
6 Bankmore Street, Belfast, BT7 1AQ
Hours: 36.25 per week
Rate: £16.68 per hour
Duration: Up to 6 months (possible extension)
About the Role
Northern Ireland Fire & Rescue Service (NIFRS) is seeking a Service Delivery Administrator to provide modern, efficient and customer‑focused administrative support within the Eastern Area Command. This role involves supporting operational and non‑operational staff, maintaining key systems, coordinating reports, and ensuring high standards of accuracy, confidentiality and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update internal systems, records and documentation
- Coordinate diaries, meetings, annual leave planners and rota changes
- Prepare reports, presentations and official documents
- Act as a central point of contact for internal and external communication
- Support workflow processes, training materials and local system guidance
- Assist with Area Assurance Reports, objectives and performance indicators
- Maintain accident/injury databases and report defects
- Provide administrative support for complaints, attendance management and occupational health
- Manage ERAS updates (booking on/off duty, user access, troubleshooting)
- Support procurement, petty cash, stock control and financial tracking
- Administer sensitive personnel information, on‑call movements and leavers
- Liaise with partner agencies on Community Risk Management matters
- Process Home Fire Safety Check referrals and safety initiative records
- Uphold GDPR, confidentiality, NIFRS policies and organisational standards
Essential Criteria
Candidates must meet one of the following:
Option 1
- Level 3 qualification (e.g., Business Administration, IT)
- AND at least 1 year experience in a demanding office environment
Option 2
- 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English & Maths
- AND at least 3 years experience in a demanding office environment
Option 3
- At least 5 years experience in a demanding office environment
Additional Essential Skills
- Strong planning, organisation and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications
- Full UK/EU driving licence or access to transport
Desirable
- Experience in a large, multi‑site organisation
- Experience in local government or public sector
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
