Job Description
Total Care Recruitment Ltd is currently recruiting a Domestic Assistant for a role based within Armour Day Centre. This is a part-time temporary position for an initial three-month period, working Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness throughout their designated area. Duties will include floor maintenance; cleaning and decontamination of sanitary facilities; damp dusting of touch points and surfaces; removal and disposal of waste; replenishment of consumables; and ensuring cleaning equipment is maintained, stored correctly, and reported if defective.
You will be expected to follow Infection Prevention and Control procedures, Health and Safety regulations, COSHH guidance, and Trust policies at all times. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Criteria
Essential:
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous cleaning or domestic experience
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and maintain hygiene standards
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to undergo an Access NI check
Desirable:
• Experience within a day centre or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of COSHH and manual handling procedures
• Experience using floor cleaning machinery
