• Salary: £12.51–£25.02 per hour
• Working Pattern: 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Shifts: 7:30am – 1:30pm
Job Description
Total Care Recruitment Ltd is currently recruiting a Domestic Assistant to work within a Day Centre in the Ballymena area. This is a temporary position for an initial three-month period, working 30 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness throughout their designated area. Duties will include floor maintenance, cleaning sanitary facilities, damp dusting of touch points, removal of waste, replenishment of consumables, and ensuring equipment is properly maintained and stored.
You will be expected to follow Infection Prevention and Control procedures, Health and Safety regulations, COSHH guidance, and Trust policies at all times. This role requires reliability, good communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Criteria
Essential:
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous cleaning or domestic experience
• Ability to work to cleaning schedules and hygiene standards
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to undergo an Access NI check
Desirable:
• Experience within a healthcare or day centre setting
• Knowledge of COSHH and manual handling procedures
• Experience using floor cleaning machinery
