Job Description
Total Care Recruitment Ltd is currently seeking two Domestic Assistants to fill block bookings at Antrim Area Hospital. This is a full-time temporary opportunity for an initial three-month period, working 37.5 hours per week, including weekends.
The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining high standards of environmental cleanliness within their designated areas. Duties will include floor maintenance, removal of waste, cleaning of sanitary areas, damp dusting of touch points, replenishment of consumables, and ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order.
You will be expected to follow Health and Safety, Infection Prevention and Control, COSHH, and Trust policies at all times. This role requires flexibility to work across a virtual rota, which may include shift work, on-call, and public holidays where required.
Criteria
Essential:
• Right to work in the UK
• Previous cleaning or domestic experience
• Ability to work within infection prevention and control guidelines
• Willingness to work rota-based shifts, including weekends
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
• Willingness to undergo an Access NI check
Desirable:
• Experience within a hospital or healthcare setting
• Knowledge of COSHH and manual handling procedures
• Experience using floor cleaning machinery
