Recruitment & Selection Team Leader – Temporary 6-Month Contract

Location: Recruitment Shared Services Centre (RSSC), St Luke’s Hospital Site, Rosewood Villa, Armagh
Salary: £31,049 – £37,796 per annum (pro-rated for 6 months)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Contract: Temporary, 6 months

About Us

The Recruitment Shared Services Centre (RSSC) manages recruitment for Health and Social Care (HSC) in Northern Ireland. We play a vital role in ensuring the Health Service has the right people, in the right place, at the right time.

As a Recruitment & Selection Team Leader, you will be the first point of contact for candidates beginning or progressing their careers within the HSC and lead a team dedicated to delivering efficient, high-quality recruitment services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a small team within the Recruitment & Selection service.
  • Oversee all stages of the recruitment lifecycle, ensuring compliance with SLAs and KPIs.
  • Provide guidance and support to direct reports on recruitment and HR processes.
  • Develop, deliver, and contribute to recruitment training programs.
  • Produce accurate reporting and dashboards for management review.
  • Ensure recruitment processes are transparent, fair, and in line with equality guidelines.
  • Contribute to process improvements, projects, and operational strategies.
  • Manage staff performance, development, and team morale.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant university degree or professional qualification plus 1 year recruitment experience in a large multidisciplinary organisation OR 3 years’ recruitment experience.
  • Experience managing or leading a team to achieve results in a target-driven environment.
  • Experience designing or delivering training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise workload, and work on own initiative and as part of a team.

Desirable Criteria

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working within HSCNI..
