Salary: Band 8a (£53,755 – £60,504)
Contract: Full-time, 6-month temporary

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Service Delivery Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of the Payroll Service Centre (PSC) for Health and Social Care in Northern Ireland (HSCNI). This temporary role will see you manage a large team, ensure high-quality payroll service delivery, and drive continuous improvement in processes and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Payroll delivery teams to meet SLAs, KPIs, and service targets.
  • Identify and implement service improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective working relationships.
  • Support strategic planning, business improvement initiatives, and risk management.
  • Lead training initiatives and ensure smooth transitions to new payroll systems.
  • Maintain high standards of governance, compliance, and data integrity.

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree or relevant professional qualification in Finance, Business, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years at middle management level in a customer-facing payroll/finance service (or 5+ years equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing teams and delivering results through others.
  • Experience with stakeholder engagement and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (or approved alternative).

Desirable:

  • Experience in a shared service/centralised delivery environment.
  • CIPP qualification or willingness to pursue.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to hold teams accountable and deliver service excellence.
  • Broad payroll knowledge including PAYE legislation.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex information and drive solutions.
