Salary: £24,896.94
Contract: Permanent (rota-based including evenings, weekends, and some nights)

About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering holistic, person-centred support to individuals experiencing homelessness. Working within a housing-led, harm reduction model, you will help service users build independence and manage their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact, providing a welcoming and professional service
  • Support day-to-day needs (e.g. meals, laundry, maintaining living spaces)
  • Assist with personalised support plans and activities (financial, social, educational)
  • Maintain accurate service user records and communication with colleagues
  • Carry out reception and building management duties

Health & Safety

  • Ensure compliance with health & safety policies and procedures
  • Complete cleaning duties, safety checks, and report building issues

Administration

  • Maintain records, petty cash, reports, and service user files
  • Follow IT and data security policies

Team Contribution

  • Participate in handovers, meetings, training, and volunteer support
  • Work in line with the service values and maintain high professional standards

Requirements

  • GCSEs (A–C) in Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • 1 year relevant paid experience or 2 years volunteering (e.g. with vulnerable groups)
  • Ability to work flexible rota (including nights and weekends)
